In August of 2018 Edwin from Paraguay reached out to me to with a couple questions he had about putting an om606 in his w123. He ran into the same issues I did while putting my build together. These include:
- Oil pan to cross member clearance requires trimming the oil pan
- Positioning the engine so there is fan clearance as well as room for the sway bar
- Throttle linkage
- Intercooler placement and piping
Naturally, those weren’t the only gotchas along the way but the car is up and running - strong. It was great to see Edwin’s excitement as his build came to life.
