Welcome to the BenzForce Power Calculator. This will help estimate boost pressure and how many CCs you will need to achieve your power goal. Please keep in mind that real world results will vary. After this calculator was made, adjustments were made to closely match Dieselmeken's om606 testing with a 140cc pump and BorgWarner s257 that made 427 horsepower. Here are the assumptions and constants used:

• Pressure drop accounts for intercooler, tubing, etc. and is factored into the required boost pressure
• Diesel engines typically require a BSFC of roughly 0.38 to 0.42 and an AFR of 18:1 to 22:1 for performance. 18 was used for this model.
  
• The model calculates air density based on the ambient and intercooler exit air temperatures
• Mass fuel flow uses 0.497 due to the older, less efficient IDI design. Modern DI engines typically use 0.38 BSFC for efficiency rating calculations.
  
• Diesel weighs approximately 0.85 grams per cc. 453.6 grams in 1 pound (lb). This value is used for CC level calculations.
