Want to pin the pulley on your om60x or om648 crank? Now you can rent our fixture to get precise drilling. The rental is due 30 days after the ship date, with the expectation that it allows 14 days of work time.
- $100 refunded upon return (without damage)
- 30 day rental
- Kit comes with a Cobalt Steel drill bit and two 3/4" pins!
- FYI, a portion of the money charged is a result of credit processing fees that are kept by merchant services, not BenzForce ($5 earmarked)
If you also want to pin the crank chain sprocket, just order pins from McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/129/3765/98381A328. The pins for the pulley are 1/4" in diameter, and 3/4" long. Just be sure NOT to get pins too long that prevent squeezing the assembly together!!! That is ultimately what holds it all together. We cannot advise on the length of pin needed for that.
The fixture holes will accommodate a 6.3MM drill bit. Do not use a bit bigger than that or the fixture will be ruined. Here are some bits: https://www.mcmaster.com/drill-bits/system-of-measurement~metric/size~6-3-mm/for-use-on~steel/
These are precision pins. You do not want too long of a pin or it could impact the tightening of the balancer. The balancer needs to be squeezed under torque! The tolerance of the pins in the link is 0.0001" to 0.0003" and a 6.3mm drill bit is 0.248 inches which should provide a solid interference fit. https://www.mcmaster.com/98381A328/
